This Privacy Policy explains how KruxLabs (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the My Calorie Judge mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address and the name or nickname you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile info.
- Profile information you enter: birth date, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal, diet preference, and TDEE mode. These are used to calculate your calorie and nutrition targets.
- Content you submit: photos of food, text descriptions of meals, and descriptions of physical activities.
- Usage data: your food and activity logs (items, estimated calories/macros, timestamps) and daily counts of how many AI analyses you run (used to enforce free-tier limits).
- Diagnostic data (collected automatically): when something in the App fails, it sends us an error report so we can fix it. This contains the error message, which screen and which operation failed, your app version, your device platform (Android or iOS), and your account ID. It does not include your location, your contacts, or the contents of your device.
- Feedback you choose to send: if you use the in-app feedback form, we receive the category, title and text you write, along with your email address, your display name, your subscription tier, your app version and build number, and your device platform and OS version.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the App’s features: authenticating you, calculating BMR/TDEE and nutrition targets, generating AI estimates, showing your dashboard and history, and enforcing usage limits. Diagnostic data and feedback are used only to find and fix faults, and to decide what to improve. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. AI Processing
When you scan or describe a meal or activity, the relevant content (your photo or text, plus profile details like weight, height, age, and sex when needed for the estimate) is sent to our processing services — Google Cloud (Firebase) and the Google Gemini API — to generate the estimate. This processing happens on servers and is subject to Google Cloud’s data-protection terms.
4. Where Your Data Lives
Your account and logs are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), currently in the asia-southeast1 (Singapore) region. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted by security rules so only your authenticated account can read or write your data.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details; we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the App — go to Edit Profile → menu (⋮) → Delete Account. This immediately and irreversibly removes your profile, your food and activity logs, your history, and any error reports and feedback you have sent us. Alternatively, you can request deletion by contacting us at kruxlabs.apps@gmail.com; we will complete verified requests within 30 days.
One exception: if you have purchased a subscription, we keep the purchase record Google Play sends us, because it is a financial record and Google Play continues to notify us about it. Once your account is deleted, that record is no longer linked to any identifiable person.
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Individual meals and activities can be deleted in the App at any time, or you can ask us to remove a specific subset — see Delete Your Data.
7. Children
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at kruxlabs.apps@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the App, and the “Last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
